BASIC HIGH SEAT CHAIR UPHOLSTERER (ONLY TWO SIMILAR STYLES OF CHAIRS REQUIRED)

Operating from our massive 50,000 sq ft factory in Leeds, we are a leading manufacturer of high-specification contract furniture. We supply diverse, stable sectors across the UK—including healthcare (care homes, hospitals), housing associations, student accommodation, and the hotel/leisure industry.
Due to a booming order book, we are looking for motivated, Basic Upholsterers to join our team. You will work in a production cell that produces the same 2 styles of high seat chairs day after day. You do not therefore have to have experience in lots of different chair/sofa styles, as long as you have the minimum of 6 months upholstery experience we can teach you the rest! You will be paid a basic of £14 per hour based on 8 chairs per 10 hour shift and anything over and above that means that your earning potential is directly in your own hands.
The Role
Working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment, you will bring contract-specification furniture designs to life.
- Upholstery Production: Prepare and upholster two similar styles of high seat chair.
- Quality & Durability: Ensure every piece of furniture meets strict contract standards for aesthetic appeal, comfort, and commercial durability.
- Efficiency: Work smart and fast to maximize your earnings while maintaining flawless quality.
- Workspace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized bench and adhere strictly to factory health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 6 months upholstery experience within a manufacturing or furniture fabrication environment.
- Skills: Strong practical ability, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a basic understanding upholstery techniques.
- Attributes: Reliable, punctual, highly motivated, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a busy team.
