Overview
Evolve HES is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of energy efficiency retrofit works on residential properties across the West Wales region, working on ATEB and Bro Myrddin projects. The successful candidate will have proven experience managing retrofit installations, with particular expertise in External Wall Insulation (EWI), roofing, and structural repair works. They will be responsible for ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with PAS 2030 standards, project specifications, and current health and safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities
The Site Manager will take day-to-day responsibility for managing and coordinating all site activities across assigned retrofit schemes. This includes supervising subcontractors to ensure works are completed on time, to the required quality standards, and in accordance with project specifications and PAS 2030 requirements.
The role involves carrying out regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, while liaising closely with Project Managers, clients, suppliers, and tenants to maintain smooth site operations and deliver excellent customer service throughout each project.
The Site Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of site progress, identifying and reporting issues or variations, managing site logistics, deliveries, and material storage, and ensuring all documentation is kept up to date. They will also coordinate toolbox talks, risk assessments, method statements, site inductions, and safety briefings for all operatives and visitors.
A key aspect of the role is proactively identifying and resolving on-site issues to minimise delays, while providing regular progress updates and escalating any risks or programme concerns to the Project Manager as required.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate will have proven experience managing site operations within the energy retrofit sector and possess a strong understanding of energy efficiency measures, particularly External Wall Insulation (EWI). A sound knowledge of PAS 2030 standards and compliance requirements is essential.
Applicants must hold a valid SMSTS qualification, First Aid at Work certification, and a full UK driving licence, with the flexibility to travel between sites. Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. Experience working with local authorities or social housing providers would be advantageous.providers (preferred)
