What You’ll Be Doing
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Fundraising & Events Officer to join the Leeds United Foundation on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, you will play a key role in growing unrestricted income across the Foundation through the development and delivery of fundraising events, individual giving campaigns, and supporter engagement initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a leading football charity, helping to create meaningful fundraising opportunities that support life-changing programmes across Leeds and Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Income Generation
Identify projects and services that can be supported through fundraising activity.
Develop and manage individual giving initiatives to maximise supporter engagement and income generation.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of fundraising opportunities.
Support the development and delivery of targeted fundraising campaigns.
Monitor fundraising performance and ensure income targets are achieved.
Work closely with the Head of Partnerships to support the delivery of the fundraising strategy.
Events Management
Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of fundraising events.
Develop and manage an annual fundraising events calendar.
Maximise return on investment and supporter participation across all fundraising activities.
Ensure all events are delivered safely, professionally, and in line with Foundation standards.
Champion excellent supporter experiences across all fundraising events.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders.
Act as an ambassador for Leeds United Foundation.
Work collaboratively with Leeds United departments and external partners.
Support the cultivation and stewardship of individual donors and supporters.
Reporting & Administration
Monitor fundraising performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
Produce reports, presentations, and impact updates for the Executive Management Team, Board of Trustees, and fundraising committees.
Support budget monitoring and financial reporting.
Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with relevant regulations and best practice.
Maintain accurate records and databases.
Foundation Support
Promote the values and mission of Leeds United Foundation.
Attend Foundation meetings, stakeholder events, and fundraising activities.
Support organisational objectives and contribute to wider fundraising projects where required.
Champion equality, diversity, inclusion, safeguarding, and health & safety throughout all activity.

Experience building relationships with supporters, partners, and stakeholders.
Experience working to deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
Experience working within a sporting, football, or sports charity environment.
Experience managing individual giving programmes.
Experience working with fundraising committees, trustees, or boards.
Knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practice.
Experience supporting fundraising strategy development.
