Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate GCSE Science Tutor to inspire students and support their success in science subjects. This paid role involves delivering engaging, tailored lessons that foster understanding and enthusiasm for science, from biology and chemistry to physics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children or young learners.
Duties
- Deliver personalized GCSE Science tutoring sessions that align with curriculum standards
- Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to individual student needs and learning styles
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and active participation
- Support students in preparing for exams, coursework, and practical assessments
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, attendance, and student development
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE Science subjects
- Strong knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics, or related sciences
- Experience working with children or young learners, including those with special educational needs
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
- Reliable transportation is advantageous for flexible scheduling and travel to students’ homes
- A genuine passion for science education and helping others succeed
Pay: £21.00-£23.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Telford
