We are recruiting for a Matron for Special Care Baby Unit who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards “working together, improving together".
The successful candidate will be expected to support the Group model of working, collaborating across both Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust to deliver high-quality neonatal services and shared organisational objectives.
Responsibility for the leadership of nursing, midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (AHP’s) within Special Care Baby Unit.
Responsible for the delivery of safe and clinically and cost effective and compassionate care within the service, providing assurance evidence in this regard to the Head of Nursing & Quality.
Has professional responsibility for Senior Sisters, Charge Nurses, Team Leaders and some Allied Health Professionals within the services.
Leads clinical services in the Care Group.
Provides credible, visible and effective leadership nursing and midwifery staff within the services.
