Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take orders efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with legal requirements
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing any queries or concerns
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with general bar and cellar maintenance tasks
- Comply with licensing laws and responsible serving policies at all times
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments essential
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently
- Maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
