Unique Van Linings Yorkshire Ltd is one of the UK's leading providers of commercial vehicle ply lining, storage systems and vehicle enhancement solutions. Operating nationally from our Ossett headquarters, we support major vehicle manufacturers, dealer groups, fleet operators and commercial vehicle customers throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth and increased demand, we are introducing a dedicated evening production shift and are looking to recruit two experienced CNC Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team.
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday
4:00pm – 12:00 Midnight
Additional hours and occasional flexibility may be required to support holiday cover, production requirements and business demands.
The Role
Working within our production facility, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery used in the manufacture of vehicle lining kits and bespoke commercial vehicle products.
You will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards and customer delivery requirements are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC machinery.
- Loading and unloading materials safely.
- Producing components to production schedules and specifications.
- Monitoring machine performance and output quality.
- Conducting routine quality inspections.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Working closely with production colleagues to maximise efficiency.
Essential Requirements
- Previous CNC machine operating experience.
- Manufacturing or production environment experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good understanding of quality standards.
- Reliable and punctual approach to work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Desirable
- CNC router experience.
- Experience working with plywood, timber or sheet materials.
- First aid trained
- Forklift truck licence.
- Previous shift-working experience.
