Role Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Labourer to support our construction team on a variety of building projects. The successful candidate will assist tradespeople, maintain site safety and cleanliness, and help ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting builders, carpenters, bricklayers, and other tradespeople on-site.
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment.
- Preparing and clearing work areas before, during, and after construction activities.
- Mixing and preparing construction materials as required.
- Operating basic hand and power tools safely.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Following health and safety procedures and site regulations at all times.
- Assisting with demolition, excavation, and general construction tasks.
- Performing other duties as directed by site supervisors.
Requirements
- Previous construction or labouring experience preferred but not essential.
- Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual work.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Awareness of health and safety practices on construction sites.
- Valid driving licence preferred.
- CSCS card preferred (or willingness to obtain one).

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable General Builder to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of construction projects, carrying out building work to a high standard while working closely with colleagues, subcontractors, and clients.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with broad construction experience who can work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general building works including brickwork, blockwork, concreting, paving, groundworks,drainage,structural work and minor carpentry.
- Assist with residential extensions, renovations, refurbishments, and maintenance projects.
- Read and interpret basic drawings and construction plans.
- Prepare work areas and ensure materials and equipment are available for tasks.
- Complete work to agreed specifications, timescales, and quality standards.
- Work safely and comply with all health and safety requirements.
- Liaise professionally with customers and other trades on-site.
- Identify and report any issues or additional work requirements to management.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in general building and construction.
- Strong practical skills across multiple trades.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good understanding of construction methods and site safety.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in bricklaying, plastering, carpentry, roofing, or groundworks.
- CSCS card.
- Plant or machinery operation experience.
- First Aid qualification.
