Part-Time Pharmacy Counter Assistants – 2 Positions Available
We are looking for two enthusiastic, friendly and caring individuals to join our pharmacy team in Finchampstead.
We are a professional and welcoming independent pharmacy with a strong focus on providing an excellent experience for our patients. We are looking for people with great communication skills, a bubbly and approachable personality, and a genuine passion for helping others.
Positions Available
We are currently recruiting for two part-time roles:
- Morning shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm – 30 hours per week
- Afternoon shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–6:30pm – 22.5 hours per week
There may be some flexibility around these hours for the right candidates.
About the Role
As a Pharmacy Counter Assistant, you will be one of the first points of contact for our patients and will play an important part in providing a friendly, professional and efficient service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and assisting patients visiting the pharmacy
- Serving customers and responding to general enquiries
- Helping patients access the right pharmacy services
- Supporting the dispensary team and helping manage patient expectations
- Maintaining a professional, organised and welcoming pharmacy environment
- Supporting the wider pharmacy team with day-to-day duties
Under the supervision of the pharmacist, you will also receive training to support patient services such as blood pressure checks and health checks, giving you the opportunity to become more involved in patient care and make a genuine difference to people's health and wellbeing.
Training & Progression
Previous pharmacy experience is helpful but not essential.
Depending on your existing qualifications, you will be enrolled onto an appropriate pharmacy training course, giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge, gain recognised qualifications and progress your career within pharmacy.
There is genuine scope for progression within the team for individuals who demonstrate strong performance, reliability and a willingness to learn.
Applicants who already hold relevant pharmacy qualifications or have previous pharmacy experience may be offered a higher rate of pay depending on experience and qualifications.

Pay: £12.75–£13.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
