Job Summary
Fleet Witness is looking for a Junior Field Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to build a career in automotive electrical engineering, working with vehicle CCTV, tracking, and safety systems across commercial fleets.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining real-world experience in vehicle electrics, installations, and fault finding.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday (primary working days)
- 1–2 Saturdays per month (rota basis)
- Weekend work is paid as overtime or TOIL, in line with Company policy
- Regular UK travel required
- Occasional overnight stays required
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of vehicle CCTV, tracking systems, and safety equipment
- Support with vehicle wiring, mounting, and system setup
- Carry out basic fault finding and diagnostics
- Complete job notes and installation photos to company standards
- Support inspections and report issues
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site
What We’re Looking For

- Practical, hands-on mindset with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently once trained
We take pride in neat, high-quality installations, so attention to detail is essential.Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with auto-electrics, CCTV, or telematics
- Basic understanding of 12V/24V systems
- Experience using tools or working on vehicles
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Willingness to travel across the UK
What We Offer
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)
