We currently have an opportunity to join the team as a Food & Beverage Duty Manager at the Telegraph Hotel, Coventry.
About the Role
As Food & Beverage Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our restaurant, bar, events, and breakfast services. You will lead by example, ensuring high service standards are consistently delivered while supporting, coaching, and developing the team.
The successful candidate will be a visible presence on the floor, maintaining operational excellence, driving guest satisfaction, and ensuring smooth service across all F&B areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Food & Beverage operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure exceptional guest service standards are consistently achieved.
- Support the management and development of the F&B team through coaching and training.
- Monitor service delivery and proactively resolve guest concerns.
- Assist with staff scheduling, rotas, and labour management.
- Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
- Work closely with the kitchen and events teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Drive sales opportunities and promote food, beverage, and event offerings.
- Complete daily operational checks and administrative duties as required.
- Act as Duty Manager for the hotel when required, supporting wider operational needs.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel, restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Desirable
- Experience within a hotel food and beverage operation.
- Personal Licence Holder qualification.
- Food Safety certification.
- Knowledge of stock control and labour management.
- Experience managing events, conferences, or banqueting operations.
