Job Title: Complex Care Assistant – Spinal Injury
Shift Pattern: Day shifts, 7:00am – 10:00pm. Night shifts, 7.00pm - 9.00am
Days: 7 days a week, 24 hour care
Location: Hitchin
Must have a UK Divers License
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Complex Care Assistant to support an individual living with a spinal injury in their own home. The role involves delivering person-centred care while promoting independence, dignity and safety.
Key Requirements:
- Previous spinal injury experience (autonomic dysreflexia)
- Competent in manual handling and safe transfers
- Experience with manual cough assist
- Bowel management and suprapubic catheter
- Ability to follow care plans and maintain accurate records
- Reliable, professional and compassionate approach
Responsibilities:
- Personal care and daily living support
- Safe manual handling and repositioning
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns
- Supporting independence within the home environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
