We are looking for a compassionate, experienced and motivated Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Turnpike Court Care Home in Sandbach.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in leading the care team, ensuring our residents receive safe, person-centred care while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
- Location: Turnpike Court Care Home, Sandbach
- Salary; £13.60 per hour
- Shifts: 07:50 – 20:00
- Full or part time position available
- Alternate weekends required
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medication safely and accurately in line with company policies and best practice.
- Lead and support the care team throughout each shift, providing guidance and ensuring high standards of care.
- Complete and review care plans, ensuring they remain accurate, person-centred and up to date.
- Maintain clear and accurate care records using electronic care systems.
- Liaise professionally with GPs, district nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
- Build positive relationships with residents' families, providing updates and reassurance where appropriate.
- Support residents with personal care, nutrition, hydration and daily living activities.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, concerns and safeguarding issues.
- Promote a positive, respectful and supportive environment for residents, relatives and colleagues.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant ready to take the next step.
- Medication administration experience and competency.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A caring, reliable and professional approach.
- Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Flexibility to work alternate weekends.
