Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Workshop Controller to oversee daily operations within our workshop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating repair and maintenance activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and leadership skills to contribute to a dynamic team. This opportunity would suit an experienced Senior Service Advisor looking to take the next step into a Workshop Controller position. It would also be ideal for a qualified Technician who is looking to move away from the tools and into a workshop office-based role, using their technical knowledge to support the day-to-day running of the workshop and coordinate workflow.
Duties
- Coordinate and prioritise workshop tasks to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Allocate work to technicians based on skill levels and workload.
- Monitor progress of ongoing jobs, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out, parts used, and time spent on each task.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to uphold company standards.
- Liaise with clients regarding job status, estimates, and additional requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a mechanical or workshop environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations within a workshop setting.

Pay: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
