Position: Utility Operator
Reports to: Dispatch Working Team Leader
Role Overview: Based at our Tallington site and reporting to the Production Supervisor. The Utility Operator will work a day shift and be responsible for ensuring all raw materials, WIP parts and finished goods are processed correctly and efficiently.
Key Accountabilities:
· Liaising with Team Leaders / Managers to achieve optimum supply chain efficiency.
· Moving material from stage to stage of each process in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
· Ensuring procedures for designated storage systems are adhered to.
· Housekeeping will play a major part in this role.
· Kitting of works orders.
· Stock checks / counts.
· General forklift duties as required.
· Covering planned and unplanned absence.
Associated Responsibilities:
· Be able to demonstrate initiative.
· The individual must be committed to their role and be willing to carry out overtime when required by their line manager.
· Candidates must be flexible in their approach in this role and will be required to carry out shift work when necessary.
· Must demonstrate they are a team player.
Experience and Training:
· Order kitting
· General forklift experience
Essential Criteria:
· Up to date FLT licence
· Previous experience in a Warehouse or Yard environment
· Experience in loading and unloading HGV vehicles.
