Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire doors in various buildings to Bmtrada Q-mark standards. Knowledge of Bmtrada Q-mark installation and maintenance would be extremely beneficial. The role will also occasionally include building fire resistant cupboards. The successful candidate will have a full driving license, and if we supply you with a company vehicle, no more than 3 points. The majority of our work is in London and surrounding counties, but occasionally you may be asked to stay away. Parking, congestion charges and fuel etc will be paid by ourselves. You will be asked to use your own phone to record all work on our chosen applications. We will consider both employed and self-employed roles. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire doors
- Use mobile software such as Bolster Systems and Simpro to register job information
- Build fire resistant partitions.- Keep stock of items on van.
- Maintain company vehicles to a high standard.
- Identify and repair any faults in the doors
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Collaborate with team members and client.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in carpentry and fire doors.
- Any relevant qualifications are preferential.
- Fluent in English, writing and speaking.
- Knowledge of fire doors and their components
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Driving license
