The Role
We are looking for a versatile and hands-on Operations & Production Assistant to join our close-knit team. Because we are a small business, this role is wonderfully varied—you won't be stuck doing the same thing every day. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of our signage projects, from the initial design and sales administration to the physical production and final installation.
No previous experience in the signage industry? No problem! We are happy to offer full training to the right candidate who is eager to learn and ready to get stuck in.Key Responsibilities
- Graphic Design: Assist in setting up artwork, preparing files for print, and creating visual proofs for clients.
- Signage Production: Operate large format printers and cutting equipment, and handle the physical weeding, masking, and assembly of signs.
- Installation: Travel locally to client sites to help safely and accurately install finished signs and graphics.
- Sales Administration: Handle incoming inquiries, prepare basic quotes, follow up with customers, and keep our order management system organized.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the production area clean, organized, and running efficiently.
What We Are Looking For
- A Willing Learner: You don't need to be an expert on day one, but you must be enthusiastic about learning new software, machinery, and installation techniques.
- Hands-on & Practical: You enjoy physical work and using your hands, as well as working at a computer.
- Detail-Oriented: You have a good eye for design and take pride in producing high-quality, flawless work.
- Adaptable: You are comfortable shifting gears from answering a customer email to rolling up your sleeves in the production room.
- Team Player: You have a positive attitude and fit well into a relaxed, friendly, and family-oriented team dynamic.
