Duties
- Responsible for washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to maintain hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors.
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the shift.
- Supporting the kitchen team with moving supplies, ingredients, and equipment as needed.
- Maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and notifying management when supplies need replenishing.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold environmental standards.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Good understanding of hygiene standards within a commercial kitchen environment.
