Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans focused on engineering concepts, including mechanical, electrical, or software engineering topics.
- Mentor and support students through individual tutoring sessions and group projects to foster their academic growth.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation.
- Proofread and review student assignments, projects, and assessments to ensure clarity, accuracy, and quality.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum enhancements that integrate math, science, and engineering skills.
- Support students with special education needs by adapting teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Engage in continuous professional development related to scientific research advancements and pedagogical techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements.
Qualifications
- QTS in Engineering
- Proven experience teaching engineering or STEM subjects at the secondary or post-secondary level.
- Familiarity with behaviour management strategies in classroom settings.
- Experience in tutoring students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education accommodations.
