Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the dietary needs of children in the nursery
- Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards to ensure all food handling is safe and sanitary
- Assist with meal planning, ensuring a variety of healthy options that cater to different tastes and dietary restrictions
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies
- Collaborate with nursery staff to coordinate meal times and ensure smooth service during busy periods

Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling and storing food safely
- Previous experience working in a childcare or nursery setting is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques suitable for young children’s nutritional needs
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
