A fantastic, forward-thinking secondary school in Haringey is seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Coach to join their team from January 2026. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people who require additional academic, emotional and behavioural support to thrive in a mainstream secondary setting.

Students are supported through structured routines, targeted interventions and consistent adult relationships, enabling them to re-engage with learning and achieve long-term success.
The Role
As a Learning Coach, you will:
- Work closely with KS3 and KS4 students, providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Act as a key adult for identified students, offering daily guidance, encouragement and stability
- Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour, motivation and engagement
- Assist teachers within the classroom to ensure students can access learning effectively
- Deliver targeted interventions focused on behaviour, attendance, academics, and resilience
- Use restorative and de-escalation approaches to manage challenging behaviour
- Liaise with pastoral staff, SEN teams and external professionals
- Help students develop independence, confidence and positive learning habits
The Ideal Candidate
We are keen to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience supporting secondary-aged students
- Are calm, resilient and relationship-driven
- Can manage challenging behaviour confidently and professionally
- Understand the importance of consistency, boundaries and safeguarding
- Are adaptable, proactive and reflective in their approach
- Have a true passion for working with students
- Work well as part of a pastoral or inclusion-focused team
Desirable (but not essential)
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Supporting Learning qualification
- Background in youth work, mentoring, tutotring, behaviour support or pastoral care
