Job Summary
BelleVue Dental Practice is a fully Private Practice located in Wandsworth Common SW12, renowned for its comprehensive range of dental services including Hygiene visits, Orthodontics, Implants, Same day Crowns ITero 3D digital scanner, Root Canal treatments, Cosmetic treatments, and General family dentistry. Our dedicated team of Clinicians and support staff are committed to providing the highest level of patient care in a safe and welcoming environment. We are seeking a dedicated Dental Receptionist/Dental Nurse to work in our friendly dental practice on Fridays. This role is predominately dental reception cover but some dental nursing will be required from time to time. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, manage appointment scheduling, and assist with clinical duties. Responsibilities
- Welcome patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and reminders efficiently using our IT systems
- Provide patient care, including explaining treatment options and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with data protection regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, processing payments, and handling correspondence
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and infection control within the practice
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures and treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
- Provide compassionate patient care by addressing patient needs and concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records on SOE and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices.
- Support the dental team in maintaining a safe, clean and organized work environment.
- Assist dentists during procedures, ensuring all clinical instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised appropriately
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, CQC & infection control & protocols.
- Supporting the use of ITero 3D digital scanner for treatment planning
- Conducting daily/weekly checks on dental & medical emergency equipment & medicines
- Supporting intra-oral imaging
Skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage appointments and maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and comfort
- Good IT literacy to operate practice management software efficiently
- Qualified and GDC registered dental nurse with a minimum of 1 year experience
- Minimum 1 year dental receptionist and Software of Excellence (SOE) experience
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to a busy environment
