Lecturer – Supported Education Programmes
Fixed term – June 2027
Part-time – 4.6 hours per week (Monday morning & Wednesday morning)
Salary: £41,838 - £50,359 pro rata (Candidate holding TQFE will commence at £48,227)
You will deliver Supported Education related subjects. Your main area of teaching will be within specialist program delivery for young people with the complex learning needs associated with Autistic Spectrum and for programme provision for other complex and profound learning needs. As a professional member of the teaching staff of the College, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of lessons; the teaching of students and carrying out assessment and guidance activity where required.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree level qualification or equivalent along with experience of working on Supported Educational programmes with young people on the autistic spectrum and a broad demonstrable experience of working with students with complex needs in an educational context. Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
You must be self-motivated and reliant and have a desire to teach. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and be able to communicate learning to individuals with a variety of learning styles.
