Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Deputy Charity Retail Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, assisting them in their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Your ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate organisational skills will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in a friendly manner
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed
- Handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills
- Complete daily paperwork relating to the sales totals
- Supervise volunteer workloads effectively and efficiently to their capabilities.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
- Stay informed about product knowledge to effectively communicate benefits to customers
- Assist in donated stock processing
- Will need to be able to travel to Bridgend as two days will be required at the Bridgend shop.
- Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous
- Proficiency in English is essential;
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers and colleagues
- Familiarity with sales techniques, including upselling strategies
