An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Educational Psychology Service within Cheshire East Council as an EP Business Support Officer. This is a key administrative role supporting a busy, professional service that works with children, young people, families, schools and partners across the borough.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the service through high-quality administrative, financial and organisational support. Based at Macclesfield Town Hall, this is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs.
About you
You will be an organised and proactive individual with strong administrative and customer service experience. You will be confident working in a busy environment, managing competing priorities, and maintaining accurate records and systems.
You will act as a first point of contact for schools, parents and professionals, so excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner are essential. You will also support meetings, manage data, maintain financial records and contribute to performance reporting and service improvements.
You will be comfortable using IT systems and databases, have strong attention to detail, and understand the importance of confidentiality and data protection. Your ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.

The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks
- Experience working in a customer service environment
- Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and databases
- Experience of maintaining records, including financial information
- Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection requirements
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work flexibly and manage competing priorities
- The ability to converse confidently with a range of customers and stakeholders
