MIM is looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters / Riggers to join our growing team. We deliver specialist mechanical installation, machinery relocation, rigging, modular assembly and maintenance services across the data centre, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and industrial sectors.
This is a hands-on role working on exciting projects throughout Ireland UK with opportunities in European sites also, with opportunities to work on major projects.
Main Duties
- Installation of mechanical equipment and process machinery.
- Machinery moving using skates, jacks, gantries and lifting systems.
- Rigging and lifting operations.
- Reading engineering drawings and installation layouts.
- Alignment and assembly of mechanical equipment.
- Installation of modular plant and steelwork.
- Mechanical repairs and modifications.
- Working safely within live manufacturing, pharmaceutical and data centre environments.
- Completing site documentation and quality checks.
- Working as part of a professional installation team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Rigger or Installation Engineer.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience using mechanical hand and power tools.
- Experience moving heavy machinery.
- CSCS/Safepass card (preferred).
- Manual Handling.
- MEWP and Telehandler tickets advantageous.
- Slinging & Signalling / Appointed Person tickets advantageous.
- Full UK or Irish driving licence.
- Willingness to travel and stay away when required.
