Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse Receptionist to join our dental practice. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with their check-in and check-out procedures
- Support the dental team with basic nursing tasks under supervision, including sterilisation and equipment preparation
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient records using IT systems
- Provide clear communication to patients regarding treatments and clinic procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area
- Handle patient enquiries both face-to-face and via telephone or email
- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining stock levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols
Requirements
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards patients
- Basic IT skills for managing appointment systems and electronic records
- An interest in patient care, nursing, or healthcare support roles
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment
- Previous experience in healthcare or customer service is advantageous but not essential
- Willingness to undertake training in dental nursing and reception duties
