Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a keen eye for food safety and presentation. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of taste and visual appeal.
- Manage food production processes, ensuring efficient utilisation of ingredients and minimising waste.
- Enforce strict food safety and hygiene regulations in compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to ensure availability of ingredients without excess waste.
- Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to coordinate service delivery and optimise guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.
- Assist in hiring new team members and conducting performance reviews.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment.
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation across diverse cuisines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in menu development, food presentation, and customer service is advantageous.
