We are seeking a motivated, reliable and hardworking Van Delivery Driver to join our growing delivery team. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial van and deliver goods to customers
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Load and unload goods, including items requiring physical handling
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers and team members
- Verify delivery details and complete required paperwork
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues
- Keep the vehicle clean, organised and in good condition
- Follow all road safety and traffic regulations
Requirements:
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record
- Previous delivery driving or similar experience preferred
- Experience driving vans or other commercial vehicles is an advantage
- HGV Class 2 licence is desirable but not essential
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Physically fit and able to load and unload goods
- Warehouse or logistics experience is a plus
Pay & Probation:The starting rate is £12.71 per hour for the first two months, which will be the probationary period. Following successful completion of the probation period, the hourly rate will be reviewed and negotiated based on performance, reliability and experience.
