DegreeSix Recruitment is a leading SEN specialist agency who provides support to schools in and around Bedfordshire. We provide support for pupils to access their education, giving children/young people the opportunities to learn and overcome barriers to their learning.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who may require additional support with their behaviour, emotional wellbeing, engagement and learning. You will build positive, trusting relationships and help young people develop the confidence, resilience and skills they need to succeed.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Supporting students with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and Challenging Behaviours.
- Working closely with teaching staff, students, and parents/carers to support the student and celebrate successes.
- Providing an inclusive environment for students with additional needs.
- Building positive relationships with students to help them thrive in an educational environment.
Who we are looking for:
- Experience working with children and young people with additional needs.
- An empathetic and patient individual who can be a positive role model to the students.
- Someone who is adaptable as the environment is forever changing!
- An individual who is passionate about wanting to make a change in students’ lives.
- An Enhanced DBS (Ideally on the update service) or a willingness to obtain one.
