Debut is a contemporary tattoo and treatment studio in Shoreditch, London, bringing together a carefully curated team of artists and practitioners in a high-end studio environment.
We’re looking for a Studio Associate to become an important part of the day-to-day running of the studio and the experience we give every client who walks through the door.
The role
This is a front-of-house role focused on client experience and keeping the studio running smoothly day to day.
You’ll be the main point of contact in the studio throughout your shift, welcoming clients and artists, keeping the space organised and presentable, and making sure everything behind the scenes is running as it should.
It’s a varied, hands-on role where no two days will be the same. We’re looking for someone who is naturally proactive and notices what needs doing without being asked.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming clients and making them feel comfortable from the moment they arrive, showing them around the studio and helping with consent forms
- Being a friendly and professional point of contact throughout their visit
- Coordinating with artists throughout the day and keeping up to date with the studio schedule
- Welcoming guest artists and helping them get settled into the studio and showing them relevant studio processes
- Supporting the smooth running of appointments and the general flow of the studio
- Opening and closing the studio
- Keeping the studio clean, tidy and presented to a high standard throughout the day
- Managing refreshments and keeping them replenished
- Monitoring stock levels and proactively flagging when supplies need ordering
- Maintaining general studio presentation
- Reporting any maintenance, client or operational issues to the studio directors
- Keeping the team informed of anything that needs attention
- Completing simple daily studio checks and reporting
- Generally taking ownership of making sure the studio is running smoothly
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Proactive - you notice what needs doing and get on with it
- Extremely organised - you can keep track of multiple things happening at once
- Friendly and personable - you genuinely enjoy dealing with people
- A great communicator - confident communicating with clients, artists and the wider team
- Reliable and trustworthy - someone we can rely on to run the studio independently
- Detail-oriented - you notice when something isn't quite right
- Calm under pressure - able to stay composed when the studio gets busy
- Presentable and professional
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for your environment
- Naturally helpful and willing to get stuck into whatever needs doing
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with good judgement, initiative and a genuine interest in creating a great experience for people.
Experience
Previous experience in a tattoo studio isn't necessary.
We'd be interested in people from a range of backgrounds, particularly hospitality, luxury retail, beauty, wellness, events, reception or other customer-facing environments.
What's more important to us is your personality, work ethic and ability to take ownership.
Hours
Part-time, approximately 25–30 hours per week.
The studio operates Monday–Saturday, with occasional Sunday opening depending on the studio schedule.
Shifts will generally be approximately 9:30am–6:30pm, with the exact working pattern agreed with the successful candidate.
