Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-time Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to customers, ensuring timely and professional service. Candidates should possess a valid driver’s licence and experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans or lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and secure goods for delivery, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at customer locations
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance checks
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation and inventory management when required
- Ensure the vehicle remains clean and well-maintained throughout shifts
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and heavy lifting procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles (e.g., van or lorry)
- Experience in driving within urban or rural environments, demonstrating safe driving practices
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items when necessary
