About the Role
We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and confident Part-Time Online Teachers to deliver engaging online lessons to KS3 and GCSE students.
Teachers will mainly teach small group classes, with the possibility of also teaching one-to-one lessons. Lessons are delivered online, and teachers are expected to support students with their academic progress through structured teaching, regular homework and feedback.

Working Hours and Timetable
Lessons take place Monday to Friday between 10:00am and 3:30pm UK time.
Teachers do not need to be available for the full teaching window. Individual timetables will be created based on each teacher's availability, subject requirements and student class schedules.

Main Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging and structured online lessons.
- Teaching small groups of students and, where required, one-to-one classes.
- Teaching content appropriate to the UK curriculum and students' level.
- Explaining topics clearly and supporting students who may require additional help.
- Setting appropriate homework every week.
- Marking homework weekly and providing students with clear and useful feedback.
- Monitoring students' understanding and progress during lessons.
- Encouraging students to participate and remain engaged throughout lessons.
- Maintaining a professional and positive online learning environment.
- Communicating any concerns regarding student progress, attendance or engagement when necessary.
Lesson Resources
PowerPoint presentations and lesson resources can be provided to teachers.
Teachers are also welcome to use their own suitable PowerPoints and teaching resources where appropriate, provided they meet the required curriculum and lesson objectives.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have achieved a minimum Grade A in the subject they wish to teach.
- Have strong subject knowledge.
- Have a valid DBS certificate.
- Be confident teaching students online.
- Have good spoken and written English.
- Be reliable, punctual and professional.
- Be able to explain topics clearly and adapt explanations to different student abilities.
- Be comfortable setting, marking and providing feedback on homework every week.
- Have access to a reliable computer/laptop, internet connection, microphone and camera.
Desirable
The following would be beneficial but are not essential:
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience.
- Experience teaching KS3 or GCSE students.
- Knowledge of GCSE exam boards and exam-style questions.
- Experience teaching students in small groups online.
Pay
£13.50 per hour
This is a flexible part-time online teaching position, with timetables arranged according to teacher availability and student scheduling needs.
