We are seeking experienced, compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistants to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting independence. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans meticulously.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as outlined in care plans.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Escort clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or care home settings is essential.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are desirable.
