1st & 2nd Fix Carpenter – Permanent Work – Central London
We are currently looking for experienced 1st & 2nd Fix Carpenters to join our growing team on a range of ongoing projects across Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and skilled carpenters seeking long-term, permanent work with a company that has a strong pipeline of projects and values quality workmanship.
About the Role
Successful candidates will be working on a variety of residential and commercial projects, carrying out both 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry works to a high standard. You will be joining an experienced team and working on projects from initial structural stages through to final finishes.
Key Responsibilities1st Fix Carpentry
- Installing timber stud walls and partitions
- Floor joists and roof structures
- Door linings and frames
- Structural timber work
- General framework and preparation works
2nd Fix Carpentry
- Hanging doors and fitting ironmongery
- Installing skirting boards and architraves
- Fitting kitchens and bespoke joinery
- Installing wardrobes, shelving, and internal finishes
- Completing high-quality finishing works
Requirements
- Proven experience in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Ability to read and work from drawings
- Own tools and PPE preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Experience on residential and commercial projects advantageous
