Main Purpose of the Role
The Senior Contract Manager – Driver Operations is responsible for strategically managing and overseeing the entire driver operations contract for our esteemed automotive client. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional service standards, maintaining optimal client satisfaction, and guaranteeing full compliance with both company and client policies. The post-holder will serve as the principal liaison between the client and Enigma, fostering robust professional relationships, driving operational consistency, and proactively identifying and resolving operational challenges. The role encompasses the ongoing enhancement of operational processes, driver performance, and service delivery efficiency, whilst also undertaking additional duties as directed by the Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the client’s driver contract, ensuring all contractual obligations, KPIs, SLAs, and client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
· Lead, inspire, and develop the driver operations team, including supervisors and coordinators, cultivating a culture of high performance, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
· Establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with client stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact and responding promptly to queries, concerns, and feedback.
· Ensure optimal driver staffing levels through robust scheduling, proactive absence management, and close collaboration with HR and recruitment teams.
· Conduct regular site inspections and performance audits to ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations, uniform standards, and brand presentation requirements.
· Prepare and deliver comprehensive operational reports, incident summaries, and performance reviews to both Enigma senior management and client representatives.
· Oversee vehicle allocation, fuel management, maintenance scheduling, and cost control measures to maximise operational efficiency and budget adherence.
· Design, implement, and manage driver training, induction, and professional development programmes in line with client brand and service standards.
· Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at elevating customer experience, operational efficiency, and team engagement.
· Ensure meticulous record-keeping and documentation, including shift logs, compliance records, and incident reports, utilising Enigma’s SharePoint and client reporting platforms.
· Support the Director of Operations and Board of Directors with additional projects or operational requirements as assigned.
Essential Knowledge and Qualifications
· Minimum of five years’ proven experience in contract or operations management.
· Possession of a full UK driving licence (mandatory).
· In-depth understanding of payroll administration, scheduling, and contract mobilisation processes.
· Comprehensive knowledge of health & safety legislation, road risk management, and vehicle compliance protocols.
· Demonstrable familiarity with Enigma’s company policies, ISO standards, and operational frameworks.
· Recognised certifications in First Aid and Fire Safety (desirable).
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint systems.

Pay: £45,000.00 per year
