Location: Chesterfield Justice Centre
Contract: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 7:30am/8am to 4:40pm/5pm
Working pattern: Flexibility will be required to meet business needs.
We are looking for a proactive and dependable Caretaker to help maintain the safety, cleanliness, appearance and day-to-day operation of Chesterfield Justice Centre. Working independently and as part of the wider facilities team, you will undertake a varied range of caretaking, cleaning, portering and minor maintenance duties.
Role Responsibilities
Carry out general caretaking, cleaning, portering, painting and decorating duties, helping to maintain the building's internal and external areas to a high standard.
Act as a key holder when required, including unlocking and securing the premises and setting the building alarm system.
Complete routine checks and planned preventative maintenance tasks, support the on-site Engineer and report faults or breakdowns through the Helpdesk.
Undertake minor repairs and resolve day-to-day issues, including blocked drains, toilets, spillages and the replacement or movement of furniture.
Prepare courtroom equipment and furniture, receive and move goods and supplies, complete relevant audits and provide emergency facilities cover when required.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:
Previous experience within a handyperson, caretaker or maintenance environment.
Previous experience working in a customer-facing environment.
Demonstrate passion, drive and motivated characteristics.
A clean driving licence and the physical ability to undertake manual handling duties.
