Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Person to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving drinks, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with standard recipes and safety guidelines
- Take orders from customers efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist with organising bar events or promotions when required
- Clean beer lines
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing laws is advantageous
- Good understanding of basic maths for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Proven ability to serve customers efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
