The Kennard is a small boutique guest house. At full capacity we have 23 guests and we offer a friendly and personalised service.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our team at The Kennard Guesthouse in Bath. If you take pride in providing excellent service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, we'd love to hear from you!
As a housekeeper, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that our guest rooms are a sanctuary of comfort and cleanliness. This will also include cleaning in the Kitchen during Breakfast services and occasionally helping out during service.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning of all the assigned rooms and other areas within a limited timeframe and in accordance with hotel procedures, cleanliness and safety standards.
- Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to a high standard.
- Maintaining common areas.
- Sweeping, mopping and polishing using hotel cleaning tools.
- Cleaning rugs, carpets, curtains, upholstery and draperies.
- Keeping window blinds free from dust.
- Supplying towels, new linens, toilet items, cleaning supplies and replacing drinking glasses.
- Ensuring common areas and kitchen are kept clean and organized
- Assisting with breakfast service, ensuring food and beverages are replenished
- Supporting with general housekeeping duties to ensure smooth operation of the guesthouse
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred
- Experience in guest services is beneficial, as we value the importance of creating a welcoming environment for our guests (English speaking)
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Friendly and professional attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction
This is a part-time role, with shifts varying depending on operational needs. The role requires flexibility with working days, including weekend availability.
