Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Support residents with daily activities including meal preparation and light domestic tasks
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
- Drive or accompany service users to appointments or outings as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training can be provided
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation of service users
- Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and communication within the organisation
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with residents and colleagues
