Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home (EBD)
Location: Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: From £45,000 per year (depending on qualifications and experience) PLUS a quarterly bonus
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential home
- Recent Ofsted rating of "Good" or "Outstanding" as a Registered Manager
- Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England), or working towards it
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, children's legislation and Ofsted requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Passionate about delivering therapeutic, relationship-based care and achieving the best outcomes for children

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our children's residential home in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
You'll be responsible for the overall leadership, management and day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring children receive outstanding care within a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing residential care team
- Deliver exceptional, relationship-based care for children with EBD
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements
- Oversee the day-to-day management and performance of the home
- Develop and maintain effective policies, procedures and best practice
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, therapists, educators and other partner agencies
- Ensure resources are managed effectively to deliver outstanding outcomes for children
- Recruit, develop and support staff to create a positive and therapeutic culture
- Travel to the Nottingham Head Office quarterly for management meetings
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting
- Demonstrable track record of achieving recent Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspections
- Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and residential childcare regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Positive, proactive and solution-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
