Job Title: Domestic Electrician (Small Works & Maintenance) We are seeking a qualified Domestic Electrician to join our team to carry out small-scale electrical installations, maintenance, and fault-finding in residential properties. The ideal candidate must be highly competent at working independently in occupied homes, ensuring minimal disruption and providing excellent customer service. This role requires clean, precise workmanship and strict compliance with current wiring and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute small-scale installations including additional sockets, switches, and interior/exterior light fixtures.
- Replace domestic components such as consumer units, extractor fans, smoke alarms, and immersion heaters.
- Diagnose minor faults in residential electrical circuits and perform efficient repairs.
- Conduct visual inspections and minor electrical testing to ensure household circuits are safe.
- Maintain tidy work spaces by protecting customer property and cleaning up post-job.
- Document all completed works via accurate certificates or job sheets according to local regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven practical experience performing electrical installations and repairs within domestic environments.
- Relevant electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- Up-to-date certification in current local wiring standards (e.g., BS 7671 / 18th Edition in the UK).
- Strong customer service skills with a polite, professional, and trustworthy manner.
- Valid driving licence to travel to various local domestic job sites.
Pay: £29,234.05-£35,000.00 per year
