Sales Assistant / Delivery Driver
This part-time (20 hours per week) job is for a family run Decorators Merchants who currently have branches across South Wales and The South West. We supply decorating materials to DIY enthusiasts, contractors and professional decorators along with local authorities and other public bodies.
The successful candidate will:
- Have retail or trade experience- Experience in the paint industry or a trade counter environment is preferable although not essential.
- Be able to engage with customers and attend to their needs with ease.
- Have a full driving license.
- Be a confident driver able to drive a medium size van.
- Be able to offer high level of customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Engaging with customers to establish their needs.
- Handling cash.
- Operating tills.
- Stocking shelves.
- Counting and ordering stock.
- Delivering decorative products across the West Wales area.

Opening hours for the store are 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. We are offering a 20 hour a week contract where the successful candidate would work 4 x 5 hour shifts over a 7 day period, 3x shifts during the week Monday to Friday (start/finish times and days to be agreed) and ALL Saturdays to be worked 8am to 1pm as a standard.
Pay: £12.75 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Retail Sales: 2 years (preferred)
- Trade Counter: 2 years (preferred)
- Delivery Driver: 2 years (preferred)
Language:
- English fluently (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
