Littleover Building Services are an experienced Derby building company established in 1985, now in their 40th year of trading.
Due to continual expansion and workload, we are looking to recruit an experienced roofers labourer to work alongside our roofing team which carries out new roofs, replacements and repairs across the East Midlands.
The ideal candidate would live no more that 10miles from DE22 3RG and be used to working in all weathers, have a good attendance record and be an excellent time keeper.
The job entails labouring to the roofing team, assisting with the preparation & installation of the works and keeping the site tidy. There may also be occasions when you shall be required to work on one of our building projects.
You will be required to use small plant and work on scaffolding at height. Experience in roofing is critical for this position.

This is a full time position with 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays with a pension through the Nest pension scheme.
A clean driving license is required as you will be driving company vans.
The successful candidate would be expected to sign up to the company's clocking in system via the Blip application which would be used on their personal phone.
Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury.
- Collaborate with the roofing team to complete projects on time.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to team efforts in building and repairing structures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly after use.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred .
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
