Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van to deliver packages and goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with maintenance schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for each trip
- Follow all company policies regarding safety procedures, traffic regulations, and customer service standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
- Experience operating vans or similar vehicles in urban or suburban environments
- Ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory handling and logistics processes
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and navigation tools to ensure efficient route planning
The successful applicant will be part of the company bonus scheme.
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
