DegreeSix are a Specialist SEND Recruitment Agency who are seeking the ideal candidate to work within a highly specialist SEND setting supporting pupils with Autism, communication difficulties, learning difficulties and behaviours that can challenge.
Many pupils require consistent structure, emotional regulation support and experienced adults who can remain calm during difficult situations, whilst staying proactive,
You will be working within small classes alongside experienced teachers and support staff, helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with Autism and complex additional needs
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting communication, independence and emotional regulation
- Managing challenging behaviours
- Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils
What We're Looking For:
- Previous SEND experience within education
- Experience supporting Autism and complex needs
- Resilient, patient and consistent approach
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
