The Role
We are looking for a passionate, friendly and hard-working childcare practitioners, lead practitIoner, senior lead, deputy manager and manager to join our nursery team based at the new Chestnut Nursery School Beam Park, RM13 8TD.
This is a term-time role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, following a shift pattern. Park Primary is open between the hours of 7.45am-6pm.
Key Duties
As a Deputy Manager your responsibilities are…
- Support the manager and team
- Lead staff and teams
- Building relationships with key children and their families
- Provide a stimulating learning environment
- Record and promote development
- Ensuring the well-being and safety of the children
- Support daily routines
- Follow policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality
- Safeguard the children from harm
Requirements
The successful applicant will need to have…
- Level 3 qualification
- Management experience: 1 year+
- Strong leadership skills
- Work well in a team
- Great understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS)
- Strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills and time-management
