About the Role:
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in enhancing operational performance through the design, optimisation and continuous improvement of processes, equipment and systems. Working closely with operational and engineering teams, you will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and implement innovative solutions across our logistics operations.
How you will contribute:
- Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to improve operational performance and efficiency.
- Apply tools such as Six Sigma, 5S, Total Productive Maintenance, Value Stream Mapping and standardised work practices to optimise processes.
- Develop new facility and process layouts, whilst improving existing operational designs to maximise space utilisation, equipment efficiency and labour productivity.
- Conduct time studies and establish work standards using recognised industrial engineering methodologies.
- Support capital projects by evaluating equipment requirements, completing cost analyses and making recommendations on operational investments.
- Manage contractor activities and support facility installations, construction projects and engineering improvements.
- Track project milestones, budgets and performance, providing regular updates to Engineering and Project Managers.
- Identify and implement error-proofing techniques, new technologies and process improvements to enhance quality and productivity.
- Stay informed on emerging logistics technologies and industry best practices, ensuring innovative solutions are embedded within operations.
- Promote and uphold the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across all engineering activities
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research or a related discipline.
- Trained and certified in Methods-Time Measurement / MOST methodologies
- Experience in solutions design within logistics, warehousing or manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience supporting operational improvements and engineering initiatives within supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel capability and experience with project management tools.
- Knowledge of warehouse and supply chain systems such as Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, Order Management Systems and Supply Chain Management platforms.
- Experience delivering cost-saving, process redesign or continuous improvement projects.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex engineering concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving capability with a structured approach to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural and cross-functional teams while maintaining ownership of deliverables.
- Proactive and results-driven approach, balancing multiple priorities while delivering projects on time
