We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our dedicated team, supporting individuals living in emergency accommodation at a time when they need it most.

As a Support Worker at Silverdale, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed support within a fast-paced, reactive environment. Working with a colleague on every shift, you will create a calm and welcoming space where people feel safe, respected, and empowered.
Using a person-centred and strengths-based approach, you’ll work collaboratively with individuals to understand their experiences, recognise their strengths, and develop bespoke support pathways that reflect their goals, pace, and aspirations.
Delivering trauma-informed, strengths-based support that promotes emotional and physical wellbeing
Building trusting, respectful relationships that encourage engagement and positive change
Co-producing, delivering, and reviewing individualised support plans with clear, meaningful outcomes
Empowering individuals to make informed choices and take an active role in decisions about their lives
Supporting people to explore move-on options and realistic pathways to independent or more suitable accommodation
Promoting safeguarding, dignity, and respect, responding appropriately to concerns
Working in partnership with internal teams and external agencies to access specialist support
Maintaining accurate, person-centred records and contributing to effective shift handovers
Helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment through domestic and communal tasks
Recording and reporting incidents, concerns, and complaints professionally and sensitively
You’ll be someone who brings empathy, resilience, and initiative to everything you do. You’re comfortable working in a challenging environment and understand the importance of patience, boundaries, and compassion. Strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to trauma-informed practice, and a belief in people’s ability to move forward are essential.
