Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Fitter / Wheel Aligner to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting tyres, performing wheel alignments, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards. Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tyres on a variety of vehicle types using appropriate hand and power tools
- Conduct precise wheel alignments to manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal vehicle handling and safety
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and punctures; advise customers on repairs or replacements as necessary
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and tools used in tyre fitting and wheel alignment processes
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment to adhere to health and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Lift heavy tyres and wheels safely, adhering to manual handling guidelines to prevent injury
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of tyre fitting and wheel alignment processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as tyre levers, wrenches, and screwdrivers
- Experience with power tools utilised in automotive maintenance tasks
- Strong maintenance skills to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, demonstrating physical strength and stamina
- Attention to detail for precise wheel alignment adjustments and tyre inspections

Pay: £24,420.00-£29,000.00 per year
